In this lesson, you will learn how to draw a frog.

Step 1 Frog Drawing – Step 1

Draw a reversed oval in the middle of your paper, and then two overlapping circles on top. All of the frog's features, including its enormous eyes, are outlined here. There should be a tiny void between the brows, as depicted in the image.

Create reference lines by drawing a horizontal and vertical line across the paper to ensure the outline is centered. The frog should be drawn at the intersection of the two lines.

Second, sketch the frog's head and body on paper. Frog Drawing – Step 2

Trace another circle directly under the frog's chin to serve as a body outline. It's important to keep in mind that the head partially obscures the body, so the upper body outline must be obscured as well.

To make your frog more one-of-a-kind, we suggest drawing patterns all over its body. So, if you're feeling adventurous, go ahead and decorate its skin with polka dots or whatever else strikes your fancy!

Stage 3: Creating the Frog's Left Arm Frog Drawing – Step 3

Outline the frog's left arm by drawing two curved lines on the left side of its body. Then, at the end of the arm, sketch a hand with three fingers.

It is important to keep in mind that a frog's fingers are noticeably longer than average and end in round pads.

Frog's right side follows the same procedure as the left.

There you go; you've depicted the frog's arms accurately. Way to go

Fifth, sketch out the frog's left hind leg. Frog Drawing – Step 5

Frog legs are made by drawing an inverted letter "U" on the left side of the body. The illustration shows that the hind legs should stick out from behind.

Frog's legs are the next component to finish. Frog Drawing – Step 6

To finish the process on the other side of the frog, repeat the preceding steps. If you want your frog drawing to look realistic, you should try to keep the frog's legs aligned and in proportion.

Drawing the frog's eyes is the next step. Frog Drawing – Step 7

Inside the resulting eye socket, draw a smaller circle. Here you can see the outline of the actual eye in your frog drawing.

Step 8: Give the Frog an Exuberant Laughing Face Frog Drawing – Step 8

Finish off your frog's face by giving it an enormous grin by drawing an upward curved line from the bottom of its face.

Next, sketch a horizontal curve at each end of its mouth. Its smile is accentuated by the lines on either side of its mouth.

Phase 9: Add Eye Shadow to Complete the Look Frog Drawing – Step 9

To make the iris, a circular shape, draw a circle inside the eyelids we drew in Step 7. Then, to make the frog even cuter, shade the iris as a whole except for one tiny dot.

From this angle, you can see that the frog is nearly complete. Your artwork would be perfect if only you added a splash of color here and there.

Now comes the fun part: giving your fantastic drawing some vibrant hues. Here's where you get to display your talent for color blending and creativity.

There is a bewildering variety of colors seen in frogs.

As a result, some frogs may actually be more than one color, as their skin can have both solid and pattern colors. If you're coloring a picture of a frog, you now have a wide range of hues from which to choose.

You can use any colors you like to bring your frog drawing to life.

Why not try out various coloring mediums like watercolours and brush pens while you're at it? Frog Drawing – 9 Steps
