- When you've done that, pull out your AirPods and place them in the open case next to your iPhone. Maintain a close proximity between your iPhone and the AirPods' open case for optimal sound quality.
- As soon as the setup prompt appears on your iPhone, tap Connect. First-time users of AirPods on this iPhone will be prompted to enable "Hey Siri" and other features through the setup wizard.
- Afterwards, connect your AirPods by following the on-screen prompts and selecting Done. The "x" in the prompt's upper right corner allows you to dismiss it without completing any of the steps.

Problems pairing your AirPods? Here's what to do.
Disconnecting other Bluetooth devices, turning Bluetooth on and off, turning off Low Power mode, switching the iPhone's audio output, and reconnecting the AirPods may fix a connection problem. At long last, you can try updating your iPhone or resetting your AirPods.
Access Bluetooth's on/off toggle
Turning Bluetooth off, waiting a few seconds, and then turning it back on can be the simplest solution. In many cases, this will force your iPhone's Bluetooth settings to reset, allowing you to pair your AirPods once again.
To disable Bluetooth, select it from the menu at the top of the screen and then tap the off switch. When the switch is in the green position, Bluetooth is active. Furthermore, the Bluetooth icon in the iPhone's Control Center can be used for the same purpose.

Turn off saving power mode
There have been reports of users having trouble pairing their AirPods while they are in Low Power mode. The goal of this setting is to keep your iPhone operational for as long as possible when the battery life is low, but some features may stop functioning until this setting is disabled or the iPhone is charged to more than 80%.
Go to your iPhone's Settings > Battery and slide the button labeled "Low power Mode" to the off position. When the slider is gray, it is turned off. Alternatively, you can tap the yellow battery icon in the iPhone's Control Center to turn it off.

Put your iPhone's audio into your AirPods.
It's possible that another Bluetooth device is playing music while your AirPods are connected to an iPhone but you're still unable to hear it. Putting music on your AirPods is as simple as changing the iPhone's audio settings.
To change the iPhone's audio output, head to Settings > Control Center > AirPlay. There's a button that looks like a triangle with a few circles protruding from the top of the screen in the upper right corner. When you're ready to listen through your AirPods, choose them from the list.

Stop using your iPhone's Bluetooth connection with any other gadgets.
IPhones can be set to prioritize other Bluetooth audio devices over AirPods if you have a collection of headphones, speakers, and the like that you use frequently. It's possible that you'll have to turn off some other gadgets before you can pair your AirPods with your iPhone.
To remove a device from your iPhone's Bluetooth list, go to Settings > Bluetooth and tap the "i" to the right of the device's name. Afterward, choose Either Disconnect or Forget This Device. The next time you want to connect the device, you'll have to set it up from scratch if you forget how you originally configured it.

Try resetting your AirPods.
If all else fails, try returning your AirPods to their original configuration. This will disconnect your AirPods from your iCloud account altogether, making it impossible to use the Find My feature to track them down if they are misplaced.
Tap the "i" to the right of the AirPods' name in the Settings > Bluetooth menu to access the AirPods' reset menu. After that, choose the option to Forget this Device. Then, in the window that appears, select Forget this device after tapping Forget Device.
